The Taipa Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line is Macau’s first rail-based mass transit system, a fully automated, driverless network featuring rubber-tired trainsets. Built entirely on elevated viaducts, the Taipa LRT ensures safety with platform screen doors at every station, and offers commuters and visitors panoramic city views. Designed as the backbone of Macau’s urban mobility, the system continues to expand through new line extensions. Delivering a seamless, safe, and reliable passenger experience from day one required the precise integration of multiple critical systems.

Solution & Implementation
Concord executed the electrical installation works for the PDS across the Green, Gold, and Blue Lines, covering 36 km of track and 22 stations. From 2017 to 2019, our team implemented a high-capacity, resilient power network to guarantee operational reliability and safety, contributing to the realization of a world-class metro system that has transformed urban mobility in Doha.
Results & Value
The successful commissioning of the PDS has helped establish the Doha Metro as a world-class transit benchmark. This project reinforces our capacity to execute complex, large-scale electrical systems for international heavy rail networks, even under the most challenging environmental conditions.
